What Does This Act Mean to Us and Our Members?
The tragic events of September 11 created this act by the U.S. Treasury Department to unite and strengthen America by interrupting and protecting the U.S. financial system from money laundering, terrorist financing, and many forms of consumer fraud and identity theft where it can destroy your financial history, credit rating, and reputation. It requires financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record personal information on each member.

How You Can Help Us and What We Need From You?
The credit union is required by law to know "beyond a reasonable doubt" that the true identity is the person we're servicing. (This includes new potential members, existing members seeking new services or products, joint account holders, and co-borrowers on loans). We will ask for your name, date of birth, social security number, physical residence address (not a P.O. Box), and an unexpired government-issued identification (with current picture). We are required to obtain, verify, and record this information that identifies each person. The approved identification list is as follows:

• (Primary) -Unexpired State-Issued Driver's License, with photo
• State-Issued Identification Card, with photo
• Unexpired U.S. (or) Foreign Passport, with photo
• Military I.D. Card, with photo
• Non-Resident Alien I.D. Card, with photo

• (Secondary) - need 2 forms, if no primaryTax Return or Financial Statement (current)
• Social Security Card (or) Certified/Sealed Birth Certificate
• Medical Card
• Credit/Debit Card
• Utility/Real Estate Tax Bill
• Student I.D. Card, with photo
